The perfume was created with the poem by Constantine P. Cavafy about the journey of Odysseus and the island of Ithaca in mind. The concept is that Ithaca is not merely a place to go, but a metaphor for the purpose of life: ?the journey itself is the most valuable reward. Thus, Ithaca captures the longing for homecoming, the salty air, the ship’s wood, and the hidden knowledge gained along the way.
Olfactory Notes
On my skin the warm, herbal-spicy davana emerges gently, like the first rays of sun on a voyage’s horizon. It sets the tone for anticipation and movement. As scent carry on, the sea-salt note swells, mingled with resinous labdanum and a Turkish rose that blooms softly. Finally oakmoss, oud and patchouli take over: deep, grounding and slightly weather-worn.?
